3-21-2010 Service - Break our Hearts, Lord
Our pastors son, Richard, went on a mission trip called Beach Reach over his spring break and he told us a little about it. It is great to see people from our church being active in His word. Below is the scripture to go with the service.
Psalm 126:1-6
1)When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. 2)Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."3)The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.4)Bring back our captivity, O LORD, as the steams in the south.5)Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.6)He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

2-14-2010 Service - Beside the Still Waters
"Beside the Still Waters"
John 5:1-16 -
1)After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.2)Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.3)In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.4)For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.5)Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.6)When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"7)The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."8)Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."9)And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.10)The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed."11)He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'"12)Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?"13)But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.14)Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."15)The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.16)For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.

"The Lord My Shepherd"
John 10:9-18
9)"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.10)"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.11)"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.12)"But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.13)"The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.14)"I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.15)"As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.16)"And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.17)"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.18)"No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

"Life Goes On"
John 3:11-18
11)"Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.12)"If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?13)"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.14)"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,15)"that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.16)"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.17)"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.18)"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
